Good afternoon, Eythorne Parish Council are planning to celebrate the 80 Anniversary of D-Day on 06 June 2024, by lighting the Beacon Brazier at the railway station in Eythorne at 21.15. They are also planning to invite local residents to join them to commemorate the day with a BBQ and beverages prior to the Beacon being lite (late afternoon).
I have been asked to contact you to see if the Heritage Centre would like to be involved with this event? We would ideally like to have some 1940’s music playing and maybe the Heritage Centre having a small appropriate display at this event.
